Chall. Day 9 & Body FX Review
Friday, May 17, 2019
Challenge Day 9 is about attitude. I can't think of anything that impacts my weight loss like attitude. When I embrace whatever and just do it - I have much better results. As soon as I make something "a thing" I go down the road of not doing my best.
This weekend I am making a quote board of "I love me" kind of messages and positive quotes to hang about my monitor in my office. That's the homework I've assigned the members of the challenge.
I have been using the online "Body Fx" workouts. You can also just buy the DVD's if you want. This company offers dance cardio and other programs. I decided to try it because I had a coupon code that was on Facebook.
Now, you buy a pass to the entire online library they have or just particular programs on there.
I was looking for something new and something that targeted abs. I am still recovering from surgery and cannot work with weights so much. That also weighed in my decision to buy just the cardio dance program called Figure 8. My membership is the basics on there and I love it.
Cardio dance is really new to me. I've always had a more athletic kick boxing kinda workout in the past but I needed to change things up. This workout is ballroom style dancing and I love it. I have no experience in dance at all. I'm not good at it but I keep trying!
Here's the low down:
-It's not that expensive. And the DVD's are an extra $15, came super fast, too.
-You can workout anytime because it's on demand online.
-There's a recommended schedule you can see anytime or print.
-There's a breakdown of each workout, even a back view!
-There's always a person who modifies the workouts for low impact.
-It takes a lot of practice. I just keep moving when I lose track of what's happening. Typical cardio program.
-It moves fast. You go from 0 - 60 mph pretty quickly.
-It's hard. But worth it.
-A membership to all their programs is a bit pricey.
Overall, I think the basic program is worth the money. It's frustrating as hell sometimes but I keep moving with the goal of one day knowing the moves. I felt exactly that way with Turbo Jam and I have all of the workout down pat now. So it's just gonna take practice. The good news is the practice burns calories!
I really like the concentration on abs. It's the main concern I have right now.
I love the music, I love that it's something totally new to me!
