Mayfaire 5K Pictures

Here are the Mayfaire 5K finish pictures taken on the 11th that Lakeland Runners Club just posted. Think I was close to a smile when I crossed the finish line, and then kind of let down. I'm number 1677 in blue/navy. For the upcoming Watermelon races I'll try to remember to sustain the smile, because I want people to know I love it, fast - slow - or in-between!:
Part of the fun of Lakeland Runners Club races is they provide pictures at no additional cost. Pictures taken at the half-way turn around spot haven't been posted. Maybe later. Here's the photo of the time I crossed the start line, and I should be visible, although I can't claim that I have found myself in there. It does capture a touch of the excitement of the race.
Today I was here again. We parked for Senior Dance less than 10 yards from the race start. It is a pretty area by Lake Mirror and I'm glad it gets multiple uses. Mayfaire is a particularly scenic route, up and down between lakes.
My next race, June 8th, is a much flatter one, around Lake Hollingsworth. That is a different kind of beauty, with lots of birds, and probably the most popular running/walking area in our town. Martin and I counted 11 wild bunnies when we walked it yesterday, as well as more species of birds than we could count.
Glad to be a runner. And I'll just leave it at that and quit complaining about my speed.
Hoping you have fun and beauty to enjoy as you live an active life!
