Well, I got put on a different sleep med, and it did work a little better, I got up at 2 AM instead of midnight, so that is improvement, and hopefully it will work better the longer I take it. So, since I woke up wide awake, I decided to go ahead and have my coffee. I usually only have one cup a day, but may have 2 today, since I have so much to do and it has gotten colder at night. I was freezing yesterday morning and we actually put the heat on to warm up the house!!
So, my psychiatrist appointment went well, it turns out that their website portal doesn't work so well, but the app on the phone does. Weird. I sent a message to my doc, and the admin saw it, and he replied via the app, but when he looked on his computer, he could not see either, and I could not see his reply on my computer either. But I had the admin put the app on my phone, and there it was!!
My blood pressure was really low, 86/67, so they told me to chug the latte I had just bought and check it when I got home (I have a cuff at home). It came up, but was still low. There is a med I am on that helps with PTSD nightmares, but is also a mild blood pressure med, so they took me off of that so that I don't get really low BP again.
I found this lovely dusky rose cushion chair that rocks and swivels at a thrift store, it needs some WD-40, and the color is splotchy in some spots, but it is perfect for a short person like me. Turns out it was sun-bleached to this color, and used to be a very wild purple color! When we took the cushion off of it, you could see where the sun had not gotten to it was purple! It is in my bedroom now, and I love it! Now I need a small bookshelf/coffee table, and it will be the perfect place to do my daily Bible reading and devotional, or sit and read and have some time away from the computer before bed. I can't wait to get the whole little area set up! But I will take my time to find something that is just right for it.
Yesterday's prep day didn't go so well. I was out a lot for my appointment and then running around doing errands. My migraine got worse so I had to lay down. The good news about that is my pup laid down with me and did really good for the most part. She didn't eat my shoes or anything, she just moved them around the room, like she was trying to hide them, lol. I've realized I'm not spending enough time with her, and I need to make sure she is with me constantly, so that is added to my goals. When I let her roam the house freely, she gets into things and eats the kids toys and pencils and such, so got to change that.
Anyway, I'm making a list of things to do today to get the house in shape and prep stuff for making life easier. I still have my list I'm working on from Monday night, but there are a few things I left out that need to get done too.
The admin at checkout had two daith piercings (supposed to help with migraines), and she told me she knew a lot of people that it really helped. I know a few people who have had it done and really have had great results from it. I posted on FB about it and only had one person say it didn't do anything at all. So, we are thinking about getting it done. My injections for my migraines has worn off, so I have about a month left before my next set.. so we may go ahead and get one and see how it works. If the piercing works and I don't have to get the injections, that would be wonderful! But, I'm told you have to be really careful about who you get to do it, as it has to be on just the right spot, or it won't work. So, still researching that, but am seriously considering it. I still have a mild migraine brewing, and I have to take care of it today, to get rid of it, because my ODD has a band concert tonight, and they are very loud. I'm going to take some ear plugs. I don't want to seem rude, but I don't want to be in a ton of pain either if I still have this migraine!!
Hope you have an awesome Spark day, I'm off to wake the kids, take a nap with my pup and then get to work on my To Do List!!
