Well it's back to work tomorrow. I haven't come up with a plan to deal with being exposed to food all day. It's like being a kid in a candy shop. Before I know it I take a bite if this and a bite of that. I also bought smart food popcorn but it's not so healthy when you eat three or four servings. I set myself up for loss of self control on that one.i think I'm gonna throw the rest away.i need to add some fiber to my diet . Im just having a hard time with the sodium restriction.my first goal was to stop eating those big pickles everyday. I've done that. I still can't seem to get my sodium under 3 grams a day. I tried the healthy choice meals but they just don't taste good. I need to go grocery shopping tomorrow so I need to figure it out.

    You will figure this out. Just keep working away at it. It's the little changes that you make on a daily basis that will impact you sodium levels over time. Good for you on eliminating the pickle! Even in retirement, you will be exposed to food all day...because the refrigerator is always there. But it will be just your food then, not everybody else's food. Would you consider closing the candy shop? Think "my food" and "their food" and draw a line between them. No crossing the line except for healthy, non-salted vegetables and unsweetened fruits. Plan ahead by coming up with your own lunch menu and pack a lunch for yourself the night before. This will be something that you know will not push you over your sodium limit. You can do this! emoticon

    Your best bet is to cook your own meals. Cook extra and freeze in meal size cartons so you can just pull it out, heat and eat. some people cook on the weekend for the entire week. I haven't got myself organized enough for that but I will put left overs in containers and freeze for later times.
