I'm Back in Action!

Monday, May 13, 2019

Whoa, guys. It's been over a year since I've been on SparkPeople. I've had a lot of fun this past year away from the tracking and exercising. I got married, started my first semester of pre-reqs for nursing school (and made a 4.0!), and started my new job. It's been a heck of a ride!

While I've been making memories and working on the next steps of my life, my poor waistline suffered. About a month before my wedding last September, I hit my highest weight ever. I was pretty upset, if I'm being honest. Not only was I bummed about all the weight I gained, I also wasn't thrilled about feeling like a hippo on my wedding day. I'm actually pretty proud of myself for not letting my weight bring me down. I didn't think about my weight once during the whole day and my wedding was absolutely magical!

Now that it's been several months and the honeymoon phase is beginning to wear off, I'm ready to start tackling my health again. Today was my first day back on track. I've eaten well and I walked for about 40 minutes. I feel like I'm weirdly sore from my walk since it didn't seem like a lot of exertion. Or maybe I'm just really that out of shape. I'm probably just that out of shape. emoticon

Anywho, I'm feeling pretty good overall and I'm looking forward to seeing where this latest health journey will take me!
