Keto Day 113

Thursday, May 09, 2019

Today I have my first ever appointment with a Dermatologist so I'm hoping to finally find out what my current new acne breakouts and raw oozing and redness on my face is, and what the tiny red blisters and cracked flaking peeling skin on my right foot is. I'm mostly going for those because my GI doctor sees it's related to my flare ups but I've had skin troubles since childhood and new skin growths I hope are normal but some have started itching sometimes so I want to ask about those too. My face decided to mostly clear up right before this appointment, arrgh! :-P

We'll be visiting a few towns over for the doctor visit so I want to eat and explore the area while we're there, the town had lots of German heritage so I figure I should be able to find a sausage and sauerkraut based meal somewhere! ^-^

I agree with GGRSPARK. Keto has not been rated as one of the healthier diets. High fat and too much protein can cause a lot of problems.

The skin problems came first, but I"ll tell him in case it's making it worse somehow!

Be sure to tell your derm about your keto regime. That may have more to do with your skin issues than you realize. Sorry, but I am very skeptical of ketomania. Though reducing simple carbs is a good plan. My dr does not recommend it.
