save the drama for my momma she loves it.

Thursday, May 02, 2019

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read and comment on my blog yesterday.
It is a very tough situation, you are damned if you do/or dont.
You cant win with a Narcissist and you cant win with a determined enabler.
I work with the elderly as a private in home caregiver, so I see situations such as my own.
While I try to stay out of private family issues, many times these elderly people have no one else to vent to.
I know my mom wants help.
But her whole existence is about drama and strife.
Her own mother was a little ol lady, sweet as pie and humble. Loving and giving.
But she was also no pushover.
I think about my dad working all those years in the coalmine, getting injured and suffering so hanging on to life the last few years of his life in pain and struggling, just to keep his social security coming in longer for them to be able to get all their debts paid off before he died.
Just to be handed away for drugs, gambling and whatever other lies my nephew can think of.
and what makes the whole thing worse, is that she KNOWS he is lying.
She will tell everyone in America he lies to her, but not to him.
I know my peace of mind will return soon if I just stay out of it and away.
My sister works so hard, she is also a caregiver in a hospital, she works with people who have wounds and just had surgery.
My mom, angry with all of us for daring to take HER side against him, told my sister she was jealous because she gave money to the nephew.
I told my mom, yes, she probably is a little jealous.
Having to clean dirty butts and drainage tubes, catheters, and open wounds, seepage pads and bile all day long to EARN a living.
While her brothers son mooches.
A brother who also toiled away in an underground coalmine, broke his back, literally, working to pay for his family to live.
And his son wont strike a fly because its too much work.
Oh, well, to the laborer go the taxes and broken body, and to the mooch go the spoils.
