Today I traveled to Woodburn, Oregon to see the tulip festival. I am so glad I traveled over the mountain to see the beautiful display of colors. The festival is held at a tulip farm. The colors are like a rainbow painted over the ground. I loved it.
I live in the high desert of Central Oregon, which has its own beauty with Pondarosa pine trees, lava rock, and sage brush. But every now and then I love to travel to the Willamette Valley where it is lush and green. And filled with flowers, long before our spring flowers appear. The riot of color lifted my spirits. And walking all over the grounds was great exercise.
I will have to show the photos to Nola. This is a true rainbow of colors. Beautiful. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers. I just wish that they lasted all summer. Whenever Ken gives me flowers, he gives me Tulips. I save the bulbs and plant them in my gardens in the Fall. I have had great success with them coming up year after year. 226 days ago
