Ladies Bible Study Day!

Wednesday, April 24, 2019

Everyone was gone for the day by 7:30 and I got a few little things done at home before heading out for Bible study. Today we discussed Mary, the mother of Jesus and how she was definitely a woman of courage. She trusted, she believed and she stepped out in faith. We had a great discussion on how we like to remain in the easier place, but how amazing it feels when we step out of that place and watch God work.

Afterwards I stopped by the bank to make a deposit and then I was home for the day. I had lunch, started laundry and then turned my attention to work emails and made a client phone call to get edits. Now I have two plan drafts to work on tomorrow. Next was updating the finances and paying a few bills. I watched "Riding the Bus with My Sister" on Hallmark while I worked. It was another one based on a true story. Then it was time for a power nap with Auggie.

Maegann worked until about 3 today and then something happened with her favorite co-worker who tends to have anxiety attacks like Maegann so she was taking her a Dutch Bros drink and going to hang out in the lobby area so Haley could talk with her on breaks. Maegann went from there straight to the young adult group. Not sure if Tayler made it or not due to his work schedule. Tomorrow she is back to school and I enjoy that as I get an extra hour to sleep.

Isaac was home about 2 as it is early release day. Thankfully he wasn't in a clingy mom mood for the first time in several days. Tomorrow he will have Destinie for strength work at 4 and then basketball practice at 7.

I am sure wishing my doctor appointment was sooner than the end of May. I cannot get the pain and stiffness that is behind my knee to let loose so it is no fun when I need to stand up. I keep stretching, massaging, icing, using oils, taking ibuprofen, etc. and when I do notice things feel better it doesn't last long. I really don't want surgery so I'm hoping it is something else, but I am definitely tired of fighting this injury.

Tomorrow I will do the rest of the laundry and a bit of cleaning before I start the paid work.

My health care provider told me point blank that if I lost even 10 to 20 lbs that my knees would feel better. So you'd think I'd just do that right? Nope....sigh....hope there is a fix for your knee that doesn't require surgery. I wouldn't want to go that route either. An anti inflammatory diet helps me too when I stick to it. Have you ever tried that?

Glad you all had a good day.

Be careful with tumeric,,it acts as a blood thinner and can drop B/ is a good product but needs to be used with caution. check your meds before using or ask your doc. I am lucky as I have a doc that agrees with using herbals and oils!
    Sounds like a good day!!

Idea:try adding tumeric to diet, might help decrease inflammation. Hope your doctor visit goes well. Love stories about Mary. She is only one who was with Jesus from the very beginning, birth, to the bitter end, death, and then to the resurrection !
