Where I live there are no mobile vets. The only 24/7 emergency hospital is about 20km. From me and are they ever expensive. Needed them in December when we almost lost our dog. I did just recently find out that my horse’s vet will make home visits if you need to euthanize your pet. I can tell you that my dog is petrified of vets. 2 weeks ago it was vaccination time for both our horse and our dog, and my horse’s vet does both. Normally my dog is fine going to the stable, but not this time, she shook almost the whole time he was there, and that was most of the day, besides all the horses and dogs, he also had to float some horses teeth.

This is a great read. Where I live, availability is limited even for our regular vets. We do have a mobile vet but it actually only shows up every month once so it's extremely limited but wouldn't that be great? I used to take my dogs to a vet whom took 3 weeks easy for an appointment. Then I began rescuing guinea pigs and had many brought to me with URIs. That requires immediate care and couldn't find a vet for the ones that the rescue I work with brings me to see fast enough. I did find an older vet about half hour out of town that saved two of my rescues just after we got them. We also stock up now on Bactrim just in case since the gp rescue is limited with their vet for their cats and dogs first. Would be really great to find a mobile pet vet for that alone!
