Starting Over with Hope

Saturday, April 20, 2019

I finally did it. I went to the doctor to see about my thyroid. I tried before and the meds upset my stomach, so I quit and took something else for thyroids. It didn't help. Now 2 years later, I'm fed up with not being able to lose weight, I only gained it. So I'm waiting for the store to call for me to go and pick up my meds. (I don't like med's because of the side effects).
But until I am healed, and I believe in healing and what God's word says, but I now, like others in my church say, we need doctors. (There are good ones that don't just want to push pills on you). So I'm hoping that this will help with the weight. The doc said that it should also help with my cholesterol that was little bit high. She said that when your thyroid is out of wack, it can effect your cholesterol.

So besides all that, I just got both Sparkpeople books on my Kindle, "The Spark Solution: A Complete Two-Diet Program" and "The Spark Trade". I've started The Spark Sollution, and it is pretty good.

I've been taking my walks, and even trying to go a little bit farther each time. In the morning my walks is just by myself. My parents (I'm care-giver for both) are still asleep. Sometimes, trying for each day, in the afternoon, my mom and I will take a walk. I do have to slow down quite a bit for this walk. But I'm enjoying it.

I also want to say thank you to all of you who read these blogs (and as you can see, I'm not the greatest at it, I really do appreciate all the support. I'm not great at responding back each time, but I do want you all to know I really do appreciate it.

I hope you all have a very happy day, and tomorrow a Happy Easter. emoticon emoticon
