Happy Passover!

Friday, April 19, 2019

I am taking my oldest, Michelle to a Seder tonight at Binghamton University. My dad requested to take the children but Megan does not want to go.

My mom is freaked out about measles since she never had it as a child and has never had the MMR vaccine. She is on prednisone which weakens her immune system and cannot get the vaccine while on the drug. So she is freaked out and saying she will hide in her house until she hears that the epidemic in NYC is over. The nurse at the doctor's office gave her some false information and now she doesn't want to go to the doctor like I have been telling her. She already talked to some pharmacist about it at Rite Aide.

I got off work early today and had a successful day. The children stayed the night last night and were going to be alone all day but I got home around 12:00. I had to get some prescriptions at the pharmacy and the grocery store before coming home.

Have a great Passover to those that celebrate!

I hope you had a Happy Passover!

I think your mom is right. She should stay home, if she hasn't had the vaccine and can't get it. The measles can definitely kill her. Hopefully, she can drop the Prednisone and get that vaccine before the next outbreak happens. She should have already gotten it, poor dear!
