Embracing Paleo/Low Carb Lifestyle

Finally, there is a team for those of us who are trying to lose weight and get healthy by adopting a Paleo/Low Carb lifestyle! I've been doing a lot of internet research and reading a lot of books on going back to the way our ancestors ate and lived.

Being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes a few years ago was disheartening to say the least! And having a family history of diabetes was not encouraging, but then I started hearing about people who were able to reverse this disease by changing their diets and lifestyles. So I started searching for all the information I could get my hands on!

In addition to the Type 2 diabetes I deal with, my husband deals with Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis and just recently he suffered a blood clot in his hip that spread to his brain and lungs. Plus, our daughter does peritoneal dialysis 4x's a day, every day, because she does not have kidneys at the moment due to End Stage Renal Disease.

By embracing this new way of eating and living, coupled with our faith in God, we are determined to get healthy and live a long, happy and prosperous life!
