Aspire to Inspire Week 1 Blog - March Review/April Goals

Our blog assignment for week 1 of the BSG challenge for April is to review our March goals and set our April goals.

I didn't set any goals for March as I was going to be gone from March 14 to March 25th, but for the time I was home I did really well with nutrition and exercise. When I was at my daughter's I did great with nutrition, but not so good on exercise. It is always hard when I am there because her schedule is so different from my one.

My April goals are:

1. Follow my no thank you diet of: No chips, white bread, white potatoes/carbs, ice cream, fast food, fried food, chocolate, soda or juice (except grapefruit juice); cake, donuts, cookies or candy.

2. Eat at least 3 vegetables and 2 fruit daily.

3. Continue drinking 8 or more cups of water daily. This is not a problem for me since water is basically the only thing I drink.

4. Be consistent with exercise:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday Yoga plus walk
Tuesday/Thursday Strength circuit plus walk
Friday Latin Groove dance class
Saturday walk
Sunday – minimum of 10 minutes exercise

I have such a difficult time getting the pounds off that I have decided to focus on healthy habits and not the scale for a while. I am feeling good and hope eventually the scale will reflect my healthy habits.
