2 weeks on low carb

My first 2 week. I weighed in at 278.6, which is a loss of 20.8 lbs. My laptop at home is sluggish, and keeps kicking me offline, so I may need a new one. In the meantime, I am using my laptop from the office for the weekend, and will blog from there if I can, maybe during lunch.
I have lost another 2.2 lbs., and am in the 270's! I feel great. I went to the store for groceries, and this week I am eating chicken. They had chicken thighs on sale for 69 cents a lb., so I loaded up family packs ( 10-12 ea. ). I got 6. I have enough eggs to have 5 a day, with 3/8ths of a stick of butter, and eating 3 thighs for lunch, and 3 more for dinner.. just boiled, with a little salt, and a lot of pepper.
I like keeping it simple. I may change it very week, but the same food daily for my diet, is fine. I think simplicity helps with consistency. Boil 6 thighs the night before. then cook eggs n the morning.. all my meals ready.. just 3 g carbs. I can add a side of vegetables, or a salad, if I want to.
I had some great workouts this week. My weights are still very low, but I went up on several exercises, and plan to go up next week as well. I already have veins in my calves, and forearms, so not working those, but instead focusing on body parts where I am weaker, like chest, biceps, and back.. I used to bench 365, but after having the ICD implanted in my chest, they told me not to strain too hard, and build strength slowly, or I can tear the wires out from my heart. Still making gains though, and I find the lighter, higher rep biceps, and back exercises to target the muscle more than heavy weights used to.
I am going to buy some walking shoes today. Nike has some nice ones for around $50, up at the mall. Maybe break them in on the bike path. I have done several walks outside. Yesterday we got to 56 degrees. Felt hot. I walked about 1.5 miles to a road that crosses the bike path, and both that road, plus the road that parallels the path, are 4 lane roads, but have trees planted alongside, between the path and the road, and flower pots between it, and the river. So flowers/river on the left, and trees.road on the right.. plus 3 benches to rest at. The first day I walked in the gym, I had a lot of trouble walking 15 mins. at 2.0 m.p.h., so walking 3x as far and feeling awesome at the end is a great thing.
I plan on reading, and catching up on TV shows this weekend. Taking walks in the 60 degree weather predicted. Hope everyone is doing great, and feeling wonderful. Have a great weekend.
