A reminder that this journey is so unique to each of us! I'm down 2lbs since March 1st - not as much as I had hoped but a healthy weight loss at 0.5lbs a week about.
This month's goal is going to have to be more drastic in order for me to reach my goal to earn my money back ($1900) from the weight loss grant so that's my motivation!!
It's going to mean some 'boot camp' style working out and lower calorie days until I meet my goal - kind of like how body builders or people prepare for competitions to weigh in at the right range for the event!
My plan for exercise is to follow the new 21 Day Fix Real Time workouts (Day 3 today).
I've signed up for a 30 day Mindfulness challenge starting TODAY.
I'm re-committing to getting on my 'indoor' setup bike 3 times a week - building slowly starting with even 5 mins at a time.
The challenge for me is the sugar cravings that still come with being alcohol free. I'm re-reading The Always Hungry book and will be starting Phase 1 of this program and stick with it until I meet my goal! I'm starting this plan on Monday April 8th and will continue through the end of the month.
Outside of this - continuing with my healthy habits that are now routine for me - checking in with my groups daily, morning affirmations and continuing with the Deepak and Oprah Grace and Gratitude Meditation.
Today is Wellness Wednesday at my workplace and I shared about the amazing keynote speaker that I heard speak on Monday. Here's her talk about The Edge of Compassion www.youtube.com/watch?v=
which I highly recommend you listen too (it is so relatable for me with my daughter and the ongoing stuff I've been supporting her through since 2013).
Oh and the bunny is no longer with me - my daughter is moved out and so is the rabbit... so it's very much an empty nest ... I'm grateful for her connecting with a boyfriend who seems very caring about her mental health and overall well being.
This weekend is my sister's hubby's 80th Birthday Celebration (he's much older than she is as she's only 58). It should be a great time with music and dancing - no booze for me... Reaching my 8 month alcohol free milestone on April 11th!
Wishing you all a great month! This is my accountability post and I'll check in weekly to keep myself on track with these goals! I post daily on my Facebook Groups. Here's to making sure we make ourselves a priority - continuing with my #selfcare practices too!!
