March reads

Tuesday, April 02, 2019

Happy April! March passed in a flash! I cannot believe we are already into April and spring! This may mean a little less reading and more yardwork and hiking but there is always time for a book, right?

Last month I finished the Janie (Girl on the Milk Carton) series. That was a Young Adult series but I really enjoyed it. Then I read "The Hate U Give"{ which was great and really made me stop and think about a lot of things. There is a second book to this and I cannot wait to get a chance to read it.

"Unbound" was okay but nothing impressive. It's not one I think I would have put in here but it was easier to just copy and paste all my March reads at once than to do it one book at a time.

I love the Prey series. Lucas Davenport is one of my favorite characters and I have read all the books in that series now, I think.

I actually won a copy of the "The Lost Girls of Paris" for a review. It was AMAZING! I loved it! It's sad, as most WWII era books are, but it's such a good read. It was a little slow on the start but I think that was because you were getting ot know all of the characters. Once I got started I couldn't put this book down.

"Girl Stop Apologizing" is the second book I have read by Rachel Hollis (The first was "Girl, Wash Your Face"). She's a great writer and makes such good points. She talks about your group and the food for thought that really got me in this and, while a lot of it makes you stop and think this part REALLY made me sit up and pay attention -- look at the five people you spend the most time with. Do you want to be like them?

David Baldacci has been one of my favorite authors since I picked up my first book of his and his "Camel Club" series does not let me down. Love his Oliver Stone character!

And that was my books for March. Small confession -- I started that last Baldacci book in March but didn't actually finish it until last night so I may forget and it reappear in April's books.

Happy Reading!!!

Wow I love your book reviews. I listen to audiobooks so I can listen anywhere. I always go to sleep listening to a book. Lately I listened to young female comedy actors - Amy Poehler, Amy Schumer, Anna Kendrick, Reese Witherspoon. I will look for the young adult series.
