Ahhh, the rough week is over with and I'm back to normal.
I really don't have much to say, though.
Here are my Did-It's:
Sunday March 17th: rested
Monday : rested (heavy T.O.M.)
Tuesday: 5 min. rebounder
Wednesday: 5min, then 50 min.
Thursday: 50 min
Friday: 5 min, 5 min., 7 min, 50 min (I would get up between teaching lessons and get my circulation moving)
Saturday: 10 min
I just remembered what I can talk about!
Thursday was my doctor appointment.
I was wondering how it was going to go, because the last time, December, I was 254, which was two pounds HIGHER than my September appointment. But since then I had gone up to 260 on MY scale...probably gotta add 3 or 4 lbs to compare to doctor's scale.
Well, since I began rebounding I lost 10 lbs.
But those were pounds the doctor didn't know I had gained. hmph.
I was very curious what HER scale was going to say. That morning MY scale had said 250.
Well HER scale remained the same as the December appointment: 254.
I celebrate that, but I do get frustrated that my efforts didn't show up for her. Except my muscles....she DID acknowledge my muscles.
Hubby on the other hand had discovered, from his fitness band, that he burns quite enough at work, so he hasn't been really bothering to work out.
He's been watching his food, because of diabetes and he does custodial work and turns it into his work-out. Great for him.
He lost 16 pounds!
So what does Mrs. Doc say? You should do this TOGETHER!
(She's a big believer in losing together, for the support.)
What she doesn't seem to 'get' is that I"M the one with all the commitment to workout!!!!!
So that was a bit irritating. I'm doing all the rebounding every night, and he goes to work and can burn it off just like that!
Meanwhile, I'm at home, teaching, babysitting, rebounding and/or swimming etc....and dealing with T.O.M.'s every four weeks....and my weight loss is either slow or not happening.
The last time I was there, was right in the midst of the 'family disfunction' thing with a sibling of mine and my blood pressure was up!
This time (after 4 months of 'space') my blood pressure was very good. lol
My heart and lungs sounded very good, too
This week I'm going to concentrate on staying near the bottom end of my calorie range so I can move forward with the weight-loss.
I've got SOOOO MANY things figured out about myself. I trust....TRUST....that the next three months until my NEXT appointment will result in good things.
If a crisis happens, I pray I remember to PUSH THROUGH it and stay on track. I've been getting good at that!
Change of subject:
Today is my oldest daughter's 24th birthday. She works at a mission out of state, in a woman's shelter, caring for their children. I'm so proud of her. She really seeks to honor God in all that she does.
My Marine recruit son, is going to fly down to visit her before he heads to Boot Camp. My Marine Corporal son, stationed in ANOTHER state, is going to meet him there, and then they will both drive back here together and I will get to visit Son #1.
I have a happy weekend ahead. On Friday I'm having a Girl's Night Out with friends from church...a movie and dinner IN.
Then the next day, I'll be going to see the movie I've been anxiously waiting for, "Unplanned".
Can. not. wait.
Aside from that, we are getting a lot of school done, winding down in the last quarter of the school year.
I am also leading a TEXTING Bible Study between myself, my 17 yr old daughter, and my out-of-state daughter and her friend. Pretty tricky to text a study!!!! (can you say that 3x fast?)
Oh, I've got a question for you:
What goes, "oooooooo!"
Answer: a cow with no lips.
