Seize the Day Anyway!

I thought about this analogy the other day: If our cat or dog had a litter and one was the runt, with a health problem, would we devote all our attention to the one in need and ignore the rest? Of course not. I am sure you and I would make time to care for each precious life! As for our body--we have SO many things that work well, are healthy and need our attention each and every day!

I also got to thinking after I blogged about the autoimmune -chronic pain condition I have. Many of you also shared various things you deal with in your life too, from chronic pain-autoimmune disorders, fibromyalgia, arthritis, diabetes, Parkinson's disease and more. We are never alone.

One thing I concluded:
Many of us have things we would trade-in if we could. BUT I thought about all the things that DO work well in my body! First, I can walk-I can talk, think and reason. My heart and lungs are healthy, bones are healthy and have not broken one or had any joint replacements. (Not that it is a bad thing for those who have). I still can drive my car, clean my house, and maintain independence! For these things I am happy and grateful! .. When I make a list of my plusses-they outweigh the bad.

Even with pain or stiffness in the body, motion or exercise benefits enormously!. We never want to give up or shrug our shoulders thinking, "What's the use!" Stay mobile regardless and make the most of every day.

And last-again, I wish to thank each of you who were so supportive in the last two blogs of mine! I want you to know my spirits are up and I am too busy to be down! Got a wonderful neck 'n body massager that is amazing and doing my neck exercises faithfully--keeping my body mobile.
