Good at Losing--Bad at Maintenance

Well. I'm back. Without trying, I have gained 17 pounds. So, I'm going to nip it in the bud right now. I'm still reading the setpoint theory book. I haven't applied it though. This may be what I have to employ.
I had gotten down to 168 pounds. Today I weighed and I am at 185--WHAT? HOW? Well it just means I have to get back on the horse and get it off. I suppose this is part of maintenance, but wow, how hard.
I am going to get down to 175, by April 30. Then I will see if I want to get down to 165. I don't know. I was happy with being between 170 and 175, but maybe 165 will give me a buffer.
This time I will be exercising more to maintain the weight loss. I think that is what happened. I hate exercising and will find any excuse, or distraction to avoid it.
