Difficult Times

Sunday, March 24, 2019

I have not had an easy life, but I have always had hope. Right now that seems to be slipping from me. My 42 year old son has severe psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis. He has had 2 hip replacements in NH where he had Medicaid. Because he was depressed and can hardly walk he had to move to TN to live with his sister. Because my husband of 30 yrs decided to take up with a 38 year old criminal woman I lost everything. I had to move in with my daughter in TN. Now she and her husband, they also have a 3.5 month old son, have to take care of us all. Her husband lost his job in March 2018 and has been doing some uber driving. He is still unemployed. So financially, my daughter has the brunt of us all financially. We have tried to get my son medical care here in TN but because the state is self-insured he lost his Medicaid when he moved from NH.

He has now become bed ridden. My daughter has to help him with a bed pan. Because we live in the wrong county too, we get no medical help for him. My daughter has contacted many places and been told there is nothing that can be done. He was in so much pain the other night that we had an ambulance and took him to ER. They basically said too bad, so sad and pretty much told him to leave.

We don't know what to do. There is medicine out there that he can take that will help him to even get back to work. Without it the pain will not stop and he gets worse. Because he can't work, he can't get medical coverage here in TN. It is not a good state to live in, especially the county we live in, to get any help. We can't afford to go back to NH or even move to a better county.

I am 72 and have no resources to help him. My daughter works hard, has a 3.5 yr old son and is taking care of all of us. I don't know how much more she can handle.

Sorry to drop all this, but it does help to vent. If you are a person of God, please pray for my son and daughter and this family.

Prayers and possibilities are always around the corners. Stay in the word. Keep laying it at the throne and remember everything is in His hands. Biggest hugs my sister. Pain in your heart is as big as the physical pain your family is feeling.

Try to contact a non profit in your area. There are normally welfare services that help people with no insurance. Don't give up. Keep searching for the right services.
