Stuck in a rut?

When I began selling my jewelry creations, I noticed that as I would create the jewelry pieces, there was a way that just seemed right to me.... balanced, symmetrical....
As the months and years rolled by, I decided to break out of my “rut” and make something different, a new style... something asymmetrical......
Wow! Was that ever hard to do! I had a hard time wrapping my brain around the a concept. Everything about it was wrong.... my brain wanted to “fix” what was wrong and make it “right”.
But I persisted. It took a while, and eventually I got the hang of it, and even began to like it. Surprisingly, some of those asymmetrical pieces turned out to be some of my best sellers.
And so it has been with so many other things in my life. Currently I am on a low carb (Keto/Atkins) program and have lost 15 pounds. Everything about it is different to my old way of thinking. More fat, protein, no carbs .... but so far it is proving to be a good choice for me. My bloodwork is good.... my Dr is happy. And I feel so good (on my good painless days).
So I guess the point of all this is, when we get stuck in a rut that is no longer working us, maybe what we need is to try something different..... (safe and within reason, of course)
It doesn’t have to be radical. Maybe just a small adjustment to our plan can help get us closer to our goal.... it’s worth a try. Maybe it’ll turn out to be just what we need.
Let’s do it!
