Stretch to Discomfort

The last couple of days, I've been working on being better at achieving my goals- but within reason. Yesterday, I resisted sugar. Today, I decided that in baby steps, I would allow myself sugar. The idea is if I start with a day without sugar, soon I will be able to stretch myself to more days. As well, when I allowed myself that craving, I ate a lot less that I would if I gave in first of all. The idea is, move, learn to treat yourself right. But no one learns the splits in days or weeks, it takes months and years to develop that kind of skill. My resolve is to expect things of myself, but recognize when the stretch is not stretching at all, or when that stretch is getting to painful and should be relaxed. Also: picture of me yesterday.
