Today’s feelings

I have been having a difficult time the last two months. I haven’t felt like myself since I got that migraine in Key West February 7th. That was a three day migraine that actually bothered me a week. Nit the severe pain throbbing but dizziness and all. I’ve discussed it with my doctors and apparently that concussion last year that reinjured my worse concussion sight is to blame. Looks like it’s a life long issue since it’s still happening. They warned me last year it could happen. So trying to adjust my life around that.
two weeks at the gym with my new routines is in the books. Today’s not been a good day so gym is out today.
Anyway I use my two machines that I’ve been using since I started at the gym but I added upper body strength training machines in the mix. I think there’s six different exercise machines I use for that. I would love to work the lower body however I can’t use the machines. My body doesn’t fit the machines and I cannot get in those strange positions. That’s been an issue on a long of the equipment. I’m not limber, I have deformed bones and spine. Oh well I’ll keep doing what I can do plus my Leslie Sansone walking videos and I’m doing Balance exercises and beginning Tai Chi. Due to my traumatic brain injuries and stroke my body and my brain don’t always communicate correctly. I’ve noticed some exercises I do much easier on my left side and have some degree of difficulty on the right. More challenges. It took me quite a while to get the hang of Leslie Sansone.
So onwards slowly to my goals, lol. One good thing is I’m noticing changes in my body. That’s good. The scales are still all over the place but that’s par for the course due to my edema and fluid pills. Between elevating my legs and fluid pills I’ve noticed a difference but not on the scales. I’m hoping one day to be surprised.

    Definitely pace yourself on the bad days. When it comes to working around major medical obstacles like strokes and migraines - just showing up or even a 10 minute march in place is a HUGE accomplishment and very commendable!! Keep rocking it!!

    You are amazing, with your medical conditions and you still keep pushing when you can, Yes by all means when the migraines are bad, going to the gym is more than likely unwise, catch that on better days, and you still have your walking you do. I have a friend who do to her being so short can not use the leg machines at the gym, she has a tough enough time using the arm weight machines--yup her arms a shorter too. She does what she can. Hope you will be able to get back to the gym soon.
