Fibromyalgia

Monday, March 11, 2019

4 years ago, I was diagnosed with a disorder called fibromyalgia. Due to this disorder, I am in constant pain and discomfort...after trying millions of medications and battling their side effects I am finally balancing out. But, after the 4 years of struggling, I put on weight...a lot of it...I have 52 pounds to lose, and I know it will be hard, and I know my disorder will make my weight loss battle even harder...but I'm ready to make a change. Any one else deal with fibro? If so, I would love to hear your stories! Thanks for listening 💕

I was diagnosed 17 years ago - I gained about 80 pounds due in part to medications and also being unable to exercise the way I had prior to getting sick.
I have also been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, so sometimes what is recommended for one is counter indicated for the other.
I'n glad that you are finding a balance!
I would advise starting slowly - as you well know, trying to do too much at once can cause more harm. And don't beat yourself up if you have to take a day (or a few days) off in between workouts - you have special circumstances that mean you need to take special care of your body.
Reach out to me if you want to talk - we are in this together. emoticon
