S is for Sugar Cravings

I have decided to join with one of my Spark Friends and take the 21 Day Tame Your Sweet Tooth Challenge. I have taken this challenge before and it helped me but I don't understand why the sweets keep coming back to haunt me and I fall apart. Perhaps this time it will stick.

I took the quiz and it told me this: "You Have Situational Struggles with Sugar!" The sad this is that this is absolutely correct! If I am not around any sugar items and with other people I don't eat sugar but when I am around others and they are partaking in sweets I am not able to help myself and I GORGE on the sweets. I guess that's because I want to fit in with the crowd and I choose to learn that I don't need to go along with the crowd and that I don't need the sweets and the sugar.

Since I am doing this with a couple of Spark Friends perhaps they can shed some light on what I am doing that I shouldn't be doing. Thank you @NANCYANNE55 for asking for help because you are helping me.

    Thank you for joining the challenge with me! We got the same result on that quiz. I'm fine at home, but put me in a crowd with sugar and suddenly it's a lot harder for me.

    I was a sugar addict. . Now I don't even care about anything with sugar in it. I always had candy around.
    As I type this, I have a whole box of candy next to me that has been there since Christmas and I have no desired to eat any of it. I know if I start eating candy again, I won't be able to stop.
    I always felt I needed something sweet to eat after I finished a meal. So I started to eat dates. I buy a bag of pitted dates and eat only one or two after a meal. Now I don't feel a need to eat anything else sweet. It satisfies my sweet tooth. I also know that if I eat sugar it stops my weight loss.
