Highlight for 3/3/19

Yesterday I finally made it for choir at church. It's been a few months. I no longer go to Wednesday night rehearsals because of my husband's schedule. He gets allergy shots and then I drop him off at church to meet with another member who then brings him home. Since he is in a wheelchair and cannot drive anymore (for over a year and a half) I have become the caregiver. If I went to rehearsal then dinner wouldn't be until 9PM or later. Not good for any of us. Our choir director welcomes me whenever I can make it in time to rehearse on Sunday morning as I can sight read quite well. But, getting Kevin up and ready in time to make rehearsal isn't always feasible. He actually gets himself ready, but needs about an hour and a half to do so as he needs time to rest between activities (brushing teeth, getting downstairs (he uses a cane and walker in the house) showering and getting dressed).

It was really nice to sing with the choir again. I take weekly voice lessons so it's nice to put into practice the techniques I learn.

HUGS and prayers. Not easy being a carer, but you're doing a wonderful job.
