I am doing much better about my kitchen upheaval.
I have been doing some organizational things while the kitchen is all torn up.
I have put all of my baking supplies in new plastic tubs that I bought, and have put it all in the basement.
I am also very bad about canned goods. My cupboards are small, so I can't always see what I have in them, and tend to buy things over and over.
I think I have most of the canned goods on the shelves in the basement. I have so MANY cans of chili ready diced tomatoes. I could make enough chili to serve the whole neighborhood. I also have a lot of cans of different kinds of beans. LOL
Those things will not be on my list for quite a while. Also, cans of corn, green beans and peas. Only about 3 of each, but still.
I do make a lot of soups, etc, so they will get used.
My back is pretty sore from carrying stuff downstairs, and bending and such, but I will get better.
My attitude is better also.
This has been a rough 5 weeks, it will be 6 weeks on Tuesday, but I have made it through.
The new floor is down, and I love it, the insulation is in, and it is warmer in the kitchen now, and the cupboards are back in.
They are to come Monday. They have to install the dishwasher, the new sink and faucet, and paint everything.
Hoping that it takes only Monday, but it might be Tuesday too. That should give me time to get the kitchen put back together before I leave for Florida on the 15th.
Fingers crossed, and hoping that my back is ok by then.
I have been doing fine with my eating, and am getting a lot more exercise too.
I have lost almost 20 pounds, in addition the the 8 pounds that I lost last spring. So forward motion.
Just felt like writing down some random thoughts about what has been going on. It will be a good reminder for me in the future that I can make it through these things, and that I do NOT have to get really upset about them.
