Inspired not deprived

I am beginning to get the hang of this logging in consistently and find my thinking is changing too. I have long been eating anything I want, rationalizing that I work hard, work out every day most weeks, I deserve it! Even while I am watching my waistline increase and my clothes get tighter. But after 2 weeks of the SparkCoach start page which reminds me to check in and be accountable I am seeing small changes.

I thought I consumed plenty of water, but at my desk for 9 hours - not so much. So I set out 3 16.9 oz water bottles by my computer every morning and must drink them all before I leave for the day. Day 1 this was surprisingly difficult. Day 14, I was sipping away and easily drank it all.

I am logging my meals ahead of time most meals and editing after and am pleasantly surprised that I can enjoy a serving of ice cream and still stay within calorie range. I am so happy that I am not deprived. That was my fear - feeling deprived. I can have anything I like - in moderation . Yay!
