I would like to run a 5k. I have participated in them before, but never able to run them.
Twice I have tried the C25K program. The first time I didn't make it half way. The second time, i made it to the last week, but did not finish. I kind of dread having to do it again, but it helped me improve so I know I need to. I'm only dreading it because I've tried a couple times already and have not completed. I know I will do it anyways.
I don't have a treadmill so I'm waiting for the ice and cold to go away before starting it. Some days when the roads are clearer I want to try it, but I don't want to do it once and then stop for a few weeks. I am going to try it as soon as the conditions get better.
Once I get this down, I will train for a 10K and then a half marathon. I did sign up for a half marathon at the end of the year with my friends. I don't think I'll be at the point I have completed training for it, but whatever I can do at that point will be a start!
The school I work for is putting on the Girls on the Run program this year. I wish I was already running the 5k so I can volunteer. This will be a goal for me to be a chaperone next year!
