Snowmageddon! And Painting
Tuesday, February 26, 2019
We had a record breaking snowfall yesterday. The city is overwhelmed and cannot keep up with plowing the streets. Our little side street has not been plowed, and is impassable. Even with my all- wheel drive, I don’t have enough clearance to make it out.
I am extremely grateful that my neighbor John came over with his snowblower and cleared my driveway. I had to shovel it again in the afternoon, but his efforts were a huge help for me. Over two feet of snow fell at my home,
The image below are the large flower pots on my front deck. I think they look like ghosts!
Doesn’t the snow on the Pondarosa pine branches look dramatic?
And Fir trees are beautiful with their heavy winter coat.
I finished another landscape painting. I almost abandoned it, and I am really glad that I persevered. It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty pleased with it. It is from a trail I like to hike.
I decided I needed to change my diet and fitness program. I was gaining weight and was unhappy to be going backward. So I rejoined WeightWatchers, it has been almost 25 years since I was last in WW, and the program has changed a lot. I was successful the first time, but it was too restrictive and I regained the weight. It is much easier to follow the new freestyle program, and the mobile tracker is great. I’ve done it for two weeks now, and i’ve Lost 8 pounds. Of course I will keep doing SparkPeople as well! I love the motivation and support and the positive energy of SparkPeople.
