I actually painted the 2 giraffes with underglazes and then glazed them so I could fire them with the 4 special order dogs, the 6 sheep, and the 6 frogs I also glazed. I took pix of the sheep so I could show my cousin, who has a collection and wants to add thereto.
I did some cooking: I made what I call "not chili" because it doesn't focus on being spicey, but it DOES have beans, ground meat, onions, and a tomato-y sauce.
Had some for my lunch and then froze the rest in portions for MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) for school lunches. Made delicious cheesy potato-corn chowder (again, freezing some portions)
I had bought some prefab meatballs at Aldi's so I made some spaghetti and meatballs.
And I made a double batch of banana muffins.
I did a sweep upstairs and down, and changed the lightbulbs in the kitchen ceiling fixture without falling off the ladder!
And, while I haven't PAINTED the peacock I made years ago, I DID 1)get the reference book from the box on the sunporch; 2) get the necessary colors ready, and 3) got everything READY to paint the peacock at my "Creation Station"!
Right now I am marinating the meat for tonight's pot roast dinner for my nephew, his fiancee, and her mother.
But it hasn't been all work - I have been reading, and of course playing some games on Facebook, and keeping in touch with friends and family. I've even taken some catnaps with Rosie on the recliner! So, while it's been very productive, it's also been relaxing.
And Monday, it's back to work.
