Highlights of my trip to New Smyrna Beach, Florida in January 2019
Monday, February 18, 2019
I'll admit, I'm totally spoiled by my older younger brother. The past two years, I've been able to spend four weeks in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, from the end of December to almost the end of January. This year was no exception. I love the beaches there. A lot of great restaurants too (not big chains, just good old locals).
Our daily view from the balcony. We're at a condo on the beach. You can hear the ocean waves outside.
the rainbow over the Atlantic Ocean one day was caught by chance.
one of many jellyfish that had washed up on the beach. I played dodge the jellyfish on several of my daily walks.
some of the shells I found on my walks
my special shell I found. This is the first one like this I've found in the 8 years I've been coming down.
Nothing like visiting with my friends, out on the balcony looking and listening to the ocean. A few days we saw dolphins playing, sharks feeding and possibly a whale signting too. Didn't have the binoculars to see for sure but I saw a spray of water that was in a sort of cone shape and a dark area below it. Looked up and saw that it was possibly a wright whale, one was sighted in the area that day I heard later.
Thanks for stopping by. I really love my beach walks!
