Marin is here! 7 lbs 7 oz

Thursday, February 14, 2019

She was born at 2:12 PM on 2/12!! And is 19.5 inches long. She has lost some weight since my milk hasn't fully come in and we were trying not to confuse her with formula right away.. but I think I'm going to have to do both like I had to do with my son. I haven't been able to log my food or water cause of the hospital issue (keeping me doped up cause I had complications during surgery).. even Marin couldn't be held for the first 6 hrs afterward cause she had breathing problems that needed to be monitored. But I am happy to say we are both doing better now, though very sore. I even got up and took some steps that same night after surgery and I get up several times on my own to walk around my room. Don't trust myself in the hall yet cause the pain is still quite bad. Should be going home tomorrow. They want me to stay on high caloric diet while I breastfeed (to make sure I can get as much in her in case I do dry up quick like last time). Here's to hoping I can get my pain managed so I can at least walk with ease.
