I've been a little stressed for the last couple of days, not sure why, no reason that I can think of but I have the anxiety pain in the middle of my chest so I'm not doing too much. Did the bare minimum in the house, did my 1000 steps, heated up some leftovers for supper and called it a day.
Also, my vertigo has been acting up the last few days - it's a little better today so hopefully one more night taking Gravol at bedtime will get me past it. I'm always about 5 percent dizzy but when it flares up I have trouble walking steadily. I did my steps today by hanging on to a chair. I don't want to get out of the habit when I'm just getting back into the habit.
The big storm that they were calling for never really happened for us - even my mom, who lives 4 hours south of us didn't get anything too terrible - a little freezing rain but not a dreadful amount, no trees went down, only a few power outages way south of us. We might get some more snow/rain/wind overnight but it's not looking like it's going to be anywhere near as bad as what they're getting in the US.
Started working on my notebook/binder - so far have just made some notes about what I want to put in it. I need to reread a couple of books that I want to summarize the key points from (the Obesity Code will be the first book). Found a couple of new recipes to try.
Had a lower-calorie day today after having a couple of higher calorie days. I need to get back to 5:2 or intermittent fasting but I'm going to wait til I'm not stressed out.
Just taking a deep breath and trying not to overthink things. I am not going to quit.
edited to add -- thanks for you comments about my vertigo - I have Multiple Sclerosis and vertigo is one of my on-going challenges. I have meds for days when it's really bad but I try to do without them because they completely knock me out for 12 hours if I take them (which is kind of pointless -- if it just makes me sleep then I don't need vertigo meds since I won't be moving anyway, lol) I take Gravol at bedtime for several days and that often is enough to reduce the dizziness eventually. I did fall out of bed once and broke my knee so I'm very careful about moving when I'm dizzy!
