BACK TO BLOGGING!

Okay - I was reminded that I haven't blogged in a long time....since April of 2018 and that was part of a challenge. I know all of you are just dying to read what I have to say! LOL
I've been a member since May 2007 - 12 years is a long time without hitting my goal weight! Although I know I'm not the only one, so I guess there's comfort in knowing that. I've been heavy all of my adult life (38 years), so it's not going to magically drop off (bummer! Where's a magic wand when you need one??) I've kept off some weight during this time - about 20 lbs, so I'll take that as a win!
I track my food, eat vegetables and fruits and drink lots of water. My weight constantly goes up and down without making real progress. So what's next??
I started the year a little differently. I got a Fitbit for Christmas and am moving more with encouragement to do 250 steps every hour. That is really what was missing from my weight loss regimen since I don't work. I also joined a gym this week with my sister - getting in even more steps, doing some light circuit training, strengthening my core with moving, and getting a little pampered too! Our gym has a massage chair (shiatsu massage type), a water massage lounge (very relaxing and helps with inflamed muscles), and a "body enhancement" booth that gives you an extra workout for your core with body vibration! Love it all and am actually enjoying it! When the weather gets warmer I'll be swimming in my pool as well.
I'm hoping to get some weight to budge off of me with the addition of these new routines. Either way, it's going to improve my heart health and get my body a little firmer, so I'm good with that too!
