The Journey Continues

Some days it feels like no matter what I do, I can't seem to get it together. At times, I fail at eating, exercising, and health. No matter how hard I try, i provoke myself into doing things I know I shouldn't do. Like, eating junk food, wasting the day binge watching Netflix, or not taking my meds like I should. It can be a real struggle. But when the day comes to weigh in and I show change, it goes to show that I wasn't being as bad as I thought I was.
Sometimes we are our own worst critics and it can be unhealthy. Setting realistic expectations that you know you can meet is going to make this process easier. Always have an end goal, but setting daily goals can be more fulfilling. Taking that one day at a time seriously can lead to many successes. As long as you stay strong and fight for you life that one day, you will always come out on top so by the time you come to your end goal, it will truly show you how far you have come.
We need to work on embracing the journey and realize that being perfect is out of reach, because no one is perfect, everyone has a flaw (or two) and that's what makes us who we are. Mistakes happen and that is how we learn and become successful. Only focus on the good things and what you have power to control and let the rest go. Being hard on yourself is draining and keeps you from moving forward to succeed in your goal. Stay focused on what you have to look forward too and keeping the negative thoughts at bay.
One of the biggest things we all have to realize is that we can't do it all and sometimes we need to take a step back and look back at all the accomplishments that have been successful so far. Big or little, be proud of those successes.
