Goals for February 2019
Friday, February 01, 2019
New month and it's time to once again look at goals.
I feel a little like I just decided to ignore all things in January, unfortunately. That meant not making as much progress as I'd hoped, though I did end the month with a refined idea of what I want to do.
But how did I do on the goals I set for January?
Health-wise, well, I did okay. I did manage to make myself dinner at least two nights a week, and I prepared my own lunch most of the work days. Weekends were a little trickier and I'm still getting too much fast food those days. This last week was also an anomaly, with meetings that ran through lunch at work, so I just ate what was provided. I expect we'll have more of those in the future, so I'll have to come up with an action plan and resist the temptation of free food.
Exercise-wise, yeah, I let this one go pretty early. I managed a few weekend walks, but didn't get the office sorted until the end of the month, so it was pretty much set aside right away.
Self-care-wise, also set aside. I pulled off a few weekend times to myself, which is actually progress, but nothing like what I'd hoped.
So, it's pretty much a reboot in more of the same this month.
Health-wise, keep up with the three meals a week, and see if I can hit a stretch-goal of making that three-not-counting-lunch.
Exercise-wise, I joined a challenge here on SparkPeople that has an exercise plan. I'll be trying to do the whole thing. That'll be three strength-based provided workouts a week and three-to-five (it increases through the month) cardio ones.
Self-case-wise, again, trying for more time to myself. I want to absolutely hit one on the weekends, but it'd be nice to get this up to everyday, so the stretch-goal is to work at least one in during the week. I'll also be trying to get more sleep, which kind of falls under this umbrella, too.
It's a shorter month, but I think I can make a go of it this time :D
