1. Celebrated my brother's birthday with my family! We had a great time at a local hibachi restaurant, and had a delicious (though not terribly healthy) meal, then played some board games at my parents'. All in all, it was lovely.

2. My father gave me a belated birthday gift: a handmade monogrammed leather belt loop holder with a mini flashlight.

3. I feel like I'm starting to make some kind of progress watching what I eat. It hasn't been long, and all too often I end up slipping back into old habits, but I'm feeling like I'm starting to get the idea of how much of a difference it makes to track my food, measure, and plan ahead. Here's hoping!
