I can't believe it's been more than three weeks since I last posted. It's been a fun ride, Sparkers. Truth.
The Peloton 8-week challenge is great. I'm doing the prescribed rides at home: 3 per week. It's challenging and lots of fun. There are extra credit rides and there is some strength training. I've been doing it. The online community is really supportive. It is a lot like Spark People. People of all abilities and knowledge levels. The experienced folks are cheerful about helping the newbies. People encourage each other, and offer advice when asked. It's terrific.
I have been slowly getting a handle on what I'm eating. I've been staying away from the scale, mostly because I had birthday celebrations in the middle. But I'll hop on the scale next Monday, the current designated weigh-in day. For sure, the more I exercise, the better I eat. My body demands wholesome food - heavy on the vegetables - when I put in intense exercise.
As far as my 2019 miles in 2019, as of this morning I put in 113 miles this year.
