I was fooling myself

Tuesday, January 15, 2019

I’ve been working at losing weight for quite some time and have five years of daily weight recorded. Work out regularly and make my goal of 20,000 steps per day frequently. BMI has not been in the green zone during that time and weight loss is never significant in duration. At the recommendation of my wife I started a Spark People account about a week ago logging ever speck of food and drink and have been tracking calories like never before. Results have been eye opening. I was eating way more calories than I imagined. The weight is coming down nicely. I’m sold on this process and am positive I will make my goal ahead of schedule. Can’t thank Spark People enough.

Welcome to SparkPeople. We are all here for the same reason, no matter what our personal story is. We are here to help each other to get to that healthy point we want to be in our lives. It is not going to be easy, but it is attainable. Make small goals and they will lead to big successes. You have to make you #1 and tell yourself that you are worth it. And remember you didn't gain the weight overnight and you won't lose it overnight. It takes time, determination, motivation and support. You can get it all right here! If you don't take care of yourself you can't take care of anyone else. If I can help in anyway, feel free to reach out to me! I was shocked when I started SP how distorted my portion sizes were! Good job. You can do it! We are here to help! Welcome and get active on this site. emoticon
