Running in 'honor' of the fallen.

This is a recent blog from my long time FaceBook friend, Cathy Powers, who lost her son in a tragic accident while stationed in Japan. Her son, Bryce had a long battle with brain injury and was transported back to the States where he succumbed to his injuries.
Cathy went into deep depression and ate away her sadness. Gaining much weight- she wrote a book called "Sustaining Powers" and started her own weight loss program. She is now going to run across America in honor of her son and will be spending one night here at my house where I can finally meet her!!!
Here is here most recent post.

THANK YOU FAITHFUL FRIENDS and FAMILY! It is simply unimaginable with my human mind to think that a year and a half ago I was stuck in a pattern of overeating, isolation, emotional unrest, and not taking care of myself properly (true story) and now today, 140 pounds lighter and a whole heck of a lot healthier, I am planning a trip to run all across our Nation. Me, a runner! lol. I seriously never saw this happening in my lifetime! God is great! He just boggles my mind and makes me grin like a child on Christmas morning! I am deeply grateful and humbled to be the first Running Ambassador for Wreaths Across America. (More details to come soon.) I am excited to continue healing and hope to help others #Remember #Honor and #Teach along my journey.
Please pray for all our families that have lost a loved one to war.
Cathy Powers son Bryce.
