30 day update

It has been 30 days since I committed to becoming fit and healthy. emoticon

On my 48th Birthday I decided enough is enough is enough!

I started by purchasing a new fitbit and committing to walking 10K steps per day. I am not going to say it has been easy. But after two weeks I no longer dreaded getting the steps in!

I joined a walk/run 2019 miles in 2019 challenge. It is a big challenge, however, I know as I continue to exercise it will became easier. I am currently walking my miles, but plan by summer to be able to run some of them.

Because the exercise has made me feel so good. ( after the sore muscles! - just stretch and hydrate) I have joined Camp Gladiator.

The CG workouts are tough! But my husband is intrigued by my new found energy and attitude adjustmen,t so he is doing it with me! This is huge, because he is over 400 pounds and unable to walk a mile without stopping.

We get up at 4:30 AM on MWF to make it to our 0500 workout. Exercise is changing our lives. We are committed to getting fit before 50 and have 1 month down.

I lost 4 pounds, but feel so much better! I didn't put this weight on overnight so I am allowing myself 2 years to lose 95 pounds. Only 91 to go! Woot Woot!

Hubby requested that we buy him a scale to weigh on. The one I have only goes up to 330. It came in and he weighed at home for the 1st time in years. It was hard for him to acknowledge what the scale said, but he has been a warrior! So proud of him. He is doing it and not giving up! BTW if anyone needs a scale for higher weights, they have some that go up to 560 pounds for less than 25 bucks online.

I have 11 months to go on my initial weight challenge of losing 45 pounds this year. Looking forward to it! emoticon emoticon

    I love how you are giving yourself a realistic time frame to lost the weight. It's also wonderful that you and your husband is traveling this journey together. I have no doubt that you both well get where you want to be. Congrats on the weight lost. Keep up the great work!!!

    It makes it so much easier if your spouse is on board with you. Mine is doing okay with my meals but still snacks after dinner however the exercise is a big NO for him. He will help me in anyway I ask or need but he will not exercise. Glad you have a workout buddy emoticon
