The weather for us is calling for ice, not snow.... I don't like it! I broke my leg on unnoticeable ice and frankly it freaks me out! I love snow, but not ice! The areas toward our North East are expecting a lot of snow, but not as much as we got last time! Generally if a snow storm is coming from our South we get it, but most any other direction has mountains blocking it for us! Plus, ice can mean a lot of downed trees and power lines, so that is not good! But, hey, the weather does what it does!

Today I did Day 2 of Jessica Smith's January Jump Start and it was a Kickboxing HIIT. I was happy that I could maintain for most of it. She included a bonus stretch and that felt luxurious because my muscles are sore! I didn't make it to Curves. Just didn't wanna and that is my prerogative! Oooohhh, I wanna break out in a 1980s song ala Bobby Brown!

Sassy was outside for about an hour barking at something. I suppose it is the bunny whose leftovers she has decided to eat. Gross!! Ick!! No kisses!! Anyhow, when she finally came in she layed her sweet head on my lap and her ears felt like ice! They were so cold I thought they might fall off! It is really cold out there no matter what kind of precipitation is expected! I stayed in ribbed leggings and a mock neck sweater all day except while working out and then I wore a turtleneck tee! I am so cold natured anyhow! Brrr!

*1* A warm home, warm clothes and thick socks! I watched a tiny bit of the news and they were setting up provisions for the homeless folks in Roanoke, VA and I had to feel so grateful for all I have! BTW, all extra pairs of gloves, hats and coats will be going to the Salvation Army tomorrow!
*2* The men and women who work so hard to keep our roads clear and safe, who manage all sorts of emergencies at all times, but especially in bad weather, and those who insure that animals are brought into a warm place during ice and snow falls! I am also thankful for those who help each other during these storms.
*3* for all my students who teach me so much!
*4* Sassy. Hard to convince her that barking at the bunny is not good for her & apparently does no good! I just held her ears in my hands and scratched her neck, head and chest. I also held her cold paws!
*5* Hubby. For getting a bit more done with the stupid computer! It might be the death of us both!

Thanks for reading and your time! for those of you with the pesky S word in your forecast, stay warm & safe! Hopefully you will not have the ice!
