We got the much anticipated snow today. It started about 9 AM and is still coming down. Wet heavy snow..much needed as we have had a dry winter thus far.
Miss Molly is loving it. She is out there running in the snow..skidding around on it , only thing she did not do was roll in it. I thought she might but it was Don Q that decided that was the thing to do. He is now a mud and snow coated donkey. Pretty white coat with gray markings and a brownish top coating..ahh tis his frosting! He has not been as playful with this snow as he was with others but then I have been inside close to the fire most of the day.
Pups look out there , then look at me! Mum , we got short lil legs do we HAVE to go out!
El meanie me...Get out there and do your job!! So they go. Poo Pup anticipates each step, carefully lifting and setting each foot down as if walking on coals! I think she is getting a lil achy arthritis as she doesn't bounce up and down the steps like she once did. She doesn't whine or flinch , no signs of pain, just my observance of her gait and step patterns. I do not like to see my girls showing signs of getting older, it makes me sad.
By the time I went to the barn, fed and threw hay the snow had filled in my foot tracks as if I had never even been there. Coming down pretty steady indeed.
So glad we got the shopping and grocery business taken care of !
Now about time to tuck in...ya'al have a great weekend.

I love that facet of snow falling heavily. Rare for me to see it except at college and skiing. Here I am happy to see snow fall heavy enough to stick and maybe get 2".

Glad you are getting snow. We've had a bit of rain, which we also need. I hope the mountains are getting snow. It's been cold and windy here today. Stayed inside for most of the day and made taco soup, which is really just another name for chili and some corn bread for dinner. It must have hit the spot because my husband ate everything and he usually just nibbles and then pushes half the food away from him.

Enjoy what is left of your weekend. Susan

to see pets grow older and get in pain just
like us.If they could only talk to us,but that
is what the Vets have to do ease their pain!
Thanks for sharing, certain you will enjoy

We used to shovel out a little area near the sidewalk for our little dog to do her business. She loved it, we would go down to grass for her. We loved it too because then we only had a small spot to poo patrol.

Glad you are getting some much needed snow. We got a little too. We could use a lot more after last years complete lack of any water at all. That was a bad year!
