Struggling... Calorie Count

I've been on Spark for over a week. I know my 1st few days would open my eyes to how much I've been overeating. I didn't expect the hard truth...
I was expecting a sugar coated pill of the truth. For in my heart, I knew I was overeating... I just didn't know it was this serve of an issue. I'm allotted 1,800 to 2,100 calories for the day. My smallest calorie day of healthy eating came in at 4,974 calories!
I was eating the required limits for: egg whites, Turkey bacon, coffee with creamer, a veggie sandwich wrap, steamed veggies, rice, and a tiny steak. I only had 1 can of coke too! Yet, I still managed to overeat my calorie count for that day.
My worst day involved McD's breakfast, Chinese takeout lunch and a bbq dinner.
I've really been trying to limit what I eat and how much... Yet, it's still too much food! I'm going to extremes now of eliminating either breakfast or lunch just to stay within my calorie limits.
What am I doing wrong?
