Sad Update

Wednesday, January 09, 2019

Last week, Thursday, after work my husband and I came home to discover our dog Yogurt couldn't get up. At the vet we learned he had no feeling in his front area and they could only do an x-ray and blood tests as there is no MRI on island for animals. The tests didn't find anything, they even checked for ticks so they tried steroids and hoped for the best. Our only chance was to send him off island, but that would have been at least $5000 so my husband and I knew if he didn't get better we would have to put him to sleep. On Monday he was much worst, crying all day even on extra pain medication so we finally let him go. It was a painful decision but it was what was best for him, I wish we could have helped him. It was so sudden, Thursday morning he was find showing no signs of having issues and then that evening only able to move his head and half his body to barely moving his head days later. A loss, is a loss, is a loss.

Please hug your pets for me they leave us too soon.

Here is my big puppy Yogurt. So gentle and sweet.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is heartbreaking to lose our pets no matter the situation. Rest assured that you did the right thing by not letting Yogurt suffer. Time will heal but Yogurt will never be forgotten.

I'm sorry for your loss. I went through the same process with my 21 year old cat, louir, a couple weeks ago and I miss home so. Very difficult time. Your dog was lucky to have you.

I am SO sorry. Pets are family and losing them is so painful. I'm sure he had a fabulous life, and you were with him until the end. I know right now that doesn't feel like much, but hopefully it helps to know that as time goes on.
