Ready to Hit the Road

Sunday, January 06, 2019

So I went to OA tonight. Not what I expected. They were brand new and the "leader" apparently didn't know how to facilitate. She was really doing group therapy more than facilitating. BUT I was open minded and still got some great things out of it. My BFF went with me and she is such a blessing! I head out of town in the morning. Being in a hotel alone has always been my "danger zone." I'm feeling good about my strategy. Going to work out in the mornings, maybe go somewhere I can walk (that's safe) after training, THEN have dinner. It helps me to eat later so I'm not so tempted to binge. I have some almonds and healthy protein bars and I usually do OK having one of them at night with a cup of decaf.I have my OA book and my BFF and I are checking in with each other through the week.

I GOT THIS.

Good luck on the road. Great that you have a reliable and caring support system.

I'm glad your open-minded... group anything can be a crap shoot... sometimes hard to not throw the baby out with the bath water. Sounds like you've got a solid plan and reliable support.

That's awesome. Having someone to be accountable with is immeasurably helpful. Good luck out of town.
