Accountability - Diagnosis of Elevated A1C Level

Saturday, January 05, 2019

Got a diagnosis of increased A1C level - scared the Bee Jesus out of me. I've been attending the game without actively participating! Talking the talk, but not walking the walk. ENOUGH!

The real issue is that I encourage others but not myself. I have failed to make myself a priority. I have failed to really be accountable. I have continued to let the little aches and pains derail my efforts. I have failed to be honest with myself about my health! ENOUGH!

Goals include - 1) Daily: walking 10 minutes at work and doing at least one 10-minute cardio video; 2) tracking everything (and I do mean everything) I eat. My goal is daily, but I will start with at least 3 times etch week.

During the Lenten season, I normally give up salty snacks, candy, and all pop. I intend to start the Lenten season today. Time to invest in more Icy Hot!

Need this for me.

I am also struggling with increased A1C levels teetering between pre diabetes and type 2. I just started the Keto diet and hoping eliminating carbs and sugars will help. I'm on day 4 and I feel pretty good today. Keep your eye on the prize. emoticon

When I had my lab work done. I was upset as well with an elevated A1C. Will be getting that back in control. Best of luck on your journey.
