Today I am grateful that I can walk three miles every morning, and even if I am bundled up like I'm in a blizzard (I'm not, but the wind is COLD), I will just waddle my happy little behind to my three morning miles no matter what! So far, the only days I've missed were when I was so sick I made my doctor tell me I had to rest (because I know I won't without being told) and when we actually did have a blizzard (so I shoveled snow!).
It AMAZES me how happy it makes me to commit to that walk every day of the week. Most days, I also do a 30-45 min walk every lunch, too, but my commitment is getting a minimum of 5 miles in every day, and I've made that happen (wow! that was me!) for more than six months now! The meditation I practice while I walk also makes me so much more at peace. I'm so grateful I found "the thing" that works well for my health and peace of mind!
